Project update: Flooded shelter in Malaga

In November last year, our team was in Spain to help clean up and repair the flooded shelter of Jacqui Ross. Through an article published in Inspanje.nl we got in contact with Frank de Ruiter from The Netherlands, owner of real estate and construction company Buena Vida Spain.

Frank told us that he is an animal lover and wanted to help. But he didn’t just help, he performed a miracle! Frank organized a team of 35 employees who volunteered to repair the roof, fences, and walls, work that is worth 10,000 euros. Thanks to our donors, we were able to pay for the building materials (3,900 euros), and Frank and his team did the rest!

Jacquie and her daughter Alexandra couldn’t believe their eyes when a big truck arrived, followed by 35 professional builders. They worked nonstop, they repaired the roof, built walls, repaired fences, and did many more things to make the ruined shelter shine again.

This project shows that together we can really make a difference to Animal Heroes in need.
