Following the earthquake in Morocco, we planned to send a team of aid workers to a shelter run by a German lady Helga that is close to the epicenter of the earthquake. Our aim was to provide food and medical treatment to animals affected. Last minute we were told that roads to the area had been blocked, because it was too dangerous and that no help from outside was no longer accepted.
We called our mission off and instead, we collected money for be able to buy hay for donkeys and other animals that survived the earthquake, which was sent to Morocco Animal Aid, an organisation run by young Australian people who also have an animal shelter.
Their Operations Manager Katarina Tavčar Možina says:
“Thank you for your help, we bought hay and delivered it to donkeys in the affected mountain villages and will continue to help feed the animals that are affected by the earthquake. ”
Thank you to those of you who donated to help animals in Morocco!
