Animal Heroes supports Ellie Lukenge, an animal rescuer from Uganda who has saved over 5,000 animals and manages Animal Lifeline Uganda, a registered shelter.
Recently Ellie helped uncover a large criminal network of fake animal shelters where animals were deliberately injured, abused, and starved in order to collect donations online. Investigations are still ongoing, but 12 fake shelters have been closed down and 12 owners have been arrested.
Together with his team of undercover investigators, Ellie rescued 153 dogs from horrific conditions and these animals need urgent help.
