You have undoubtedly seen and heard the devastating news from Nepal on television, radio and in the newspapers. The country has been hit by a catastrophic disaster caused by severe flooding. Entire villages have been swept away, hundreds of people have lost their lives, and many are still missing.
The animals have been left helpless.
Livestock were still tied up when the water came. Dogs and cats had nowhere to escape. Many animals are now wandering around injured, starving and terrified.
Together with Stichting Dierennood, which has been helping animals in need around the world for many years, we are joining forces to help these animals.
Two trusted local animal welfare organisations known to Stichting Dierennood — Sneha’s Care in Lalitpur and Animal Nepal in Kathmandu — are working around the clock to provide shelter, food, medicines and fuel.
They urgently need financial support to continue their lifesaving rescue work.
